Vente, Inc. is committed to protecting individual privacy. Our contact strategy for consumers who have elected to receive information from Vente clients is to clearly identify Vente or one of its affiliate sites as the originator of the e-mail. In addition, we explain why the recipient is receiving the communication. And we always offer consumers a clear opt-out opportunity with every e-mail. Because we go to such lengths to respect individual privacy, a significant percentage of consumers have remained active with us since we launched our first site in 1999.
Vente's Privacy Policy
Vente provides digital marketing solutions and services. We are extremely sensitive to privacy concerns and are committed to protecting your privacy rights. Vente gathers and compiles certain types of information about its users from its network of marketing partner sites ("Network Partners") as well as our own websites. We want users to fully understand the terms and conditions surrounding the use of that information. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to describe the information that Vente collects, how such information will be used, with whom it may be shared, your choices regarding the collection, use and distribution of such information, your ability to edit, update, correct or delete such information and the security measures we have implemented to protect your privacy.
Information Vente Collects
Vente gathers personally identifiable and other information about users (such as name, postal address, email address, gender, date of birth, interests, other demographic information, etc.) from both internal and external marketing programs. This information is typically obtained from users who have voluntarily agreed to provide this information in connection with a user's registration in one of our survey or sweepstakes programs. Vente believes and endorses permission-based email marketing. Email addresses are confirmed through a double opt-in and the consumer always has the option to receive or not receive email communications from Vente. Vente will only partner with marketing companies who endorse permission-based email marketing.
Use of Information
Vente uses information voluntarily given by consumers in order to provide these users with information on products and/or services that may be of interest to them.
We and/or our marketing partners may enhance and/or merge personally identifiable information about users with data collected from other sources to use in direct and/or online marketing. In the event we enhance and/or merge such personally identifiable information with data collected from other sources, we will take reasonable steps to maintain the integrity and quality of that information.
In addition, users may receive postal mailings from our marketing partners as well as periodic postal mailings from us with information on products and services or upcoming events. Users may also be contacted via telephone by Vente or our marketing partners.
Sharing of Information
Vente uses the information described above to help advertisers and third party marketers better understand the demographics of registrants of a Network Partner or an affiliated web site. Vente shares personally identifiable information (including information that has been enhanced with information from other sources) with advertisers, third party marketers, and our affiliated websites for their direct and/or online marketing efforts. While Vente seeks to contractually obligate our partners to treat information in accordance with accepted marketing practices, Vente does not control the practices of its advertisers or third party marketers. In the event Vente discovers that one of its marketing partners is utilizing leads and/or personally identifiable information in a manner not acceptable to Vente, we will begin an investigation of the matter and take prompt action, up to and including termination of our relationship with the party, pending the results of the investigation.
All information provided to Vente by a user through our Network Partners or affiliate sites may be used to support our marketing data services business. These services may include the provision of personally identifiable data to marketing companies, advertising agencies, data compilers and data companies. Such information may be used by these companies to provide users with information on products and services which may be of interest to them.
In the event that a user wishes to not have their email address shared with third parties, Vente will limit the use of their data to certain direct marketing services. These services currently include the provision of personally identifiable information to third parties to validate and enhance existing information held by marketers about their customers. For example, in the case where a marketer lawfully possesses information about a user, e.g., through a transaction with such user, that marketer may use personally identifiable data provided by Vente to add information about the user to its own file for use by that marketer in its own direct or online marketing efforts. Similarly, a marketer may use such data merely to verify or validate the accuracy of data about such user that the marketer already possesses. In addition, a marketer may use information provided by Vente to suppress further marketing messages being sent by such marketer to a user.
Vente does not permit ongoing email solicitations to be sent to individuals who have opted out from receiving email solicitations. Vente will not knowingly share information that supports pornographic promotions or sites.
Vente may transfer, sell or assign information concerning your use of this website or any of the websites it operates, including without limitation, personally identifiable information that you provide and other information concerning your use of its websites, to third parties, as a result of a sale, merger, consolidation, changing control, transfer of substantial assets, reorganization or liquidation of Vente.
In some cases, we may disclose your personal information with other third parties if we are required to do so by law or we in good faith believe that such action is necessary to: Comply with the law; Protect and defend our rights and property; Protect against misuse or unauthorized use of the website and/or Vente services; or Protect the personal safety or property of our users or the public.
Opt-out/Unsubscribe Policy
By registering with our Network Partners or affiliated websites and providing permission to receive marketing offers, users allow Vente and its affiliates to make their personally identifiable information available to third parties in accordance with the terms of this privacy policy and the privacy policy of the respective affiliated sites.
Vente provides users the option to opt-out from receiving information sent via electronic mailings on behalf of third party advertisers, or to opt-out from Vente and its divisions sharing information with advertisers or third party marketers for promotional purposes. Users may unsubscribe from receiving emails at any time by following the instructions contained at the end of every newsletter or emailing. Users may also opt-out of receiving such emails as well as opt-out of permitting Vente to share their personally identifiable information with advertisers or third party marketers for online and offline promotional purposes.
Information sent on behalf of third party advertisers is prepared days in advance, so users may continue to receive email from us for up to 72 hours after following the unsubscribe procedures detailed above. If after that point a user is still receiving email from us, the user should contact us at security@venteinc.com.
Security Policy
Vente has implemented generally accepted standards of technology security in order to protect information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. Only authorized Vente personnel and agents are provided access to personal information and certain databases containing non-personal information, and these employees have agreed to ensure confidentiality of this information.
